On 17 December 2005, the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra played our very first show at Chow Cabaret (now the Library Bar at Chow, in Wellington, NZ).
Recently, a mysterious, hooded figure handed us an old, yellowing envelope.
Inside was an ancient reel of film.
Carbon-dating and forensic analysis revealed it to be never-before-seen, historic footage of this very first show.
It's our 10th Birthday, but you get this present!
Ten years has flown by in a crazed cloud of ukein' good fun. Thanks for a decade of crazy good times filled with love and magic. Arohanui.
(In this footage, from left to right, you can just make out Sam Auger, Rio Hemopo of Trinity Roots, Age Pryor, Bret McKenzie, and Gemma Gracewood.)
